Exotic Beach Hideaways
- Our Mexican Beach Hideaways vary in size, service, and amenities.
For a unique and private getaway, choose from: casually elegant small
boutique hotels with concierge type service; all-inclusive resorts in
less visited places; simple beachfront hotel rooms or cabanas; and unusual
eco-lodges in nature reserves. All are located on one of Mexico’s 6,000
miles of incredible coastline. All are more laid back and offer an escape
from the high rise tourist center hotels. Our beach hideaways cater
to those seeking unusual surroundings, a bit of culture, and true Mexican
hospitality. There are accommodations for every budget and, yes, many
beach hideaways offer hammocks! Solsierra includes transfers or car
rentals to make your trip more convenient so you can maximize your relaxing
time on the beach. |

Condos
- Our Mexican condominiums and apartments offer a home away from home,
the freedom of dining on your own private patio or balcony in your bathrobe
or bathing suit at any hour, ample space for families at a cost more
reasonable than multiple hotel rooms, and the convenience of entertaining
friends in your own living area or terrace. Although you may not want
to cook all the time, having breakfast and lunch in your condo can result
in vacation savings, especially for families. Family reunions, and several
families or friends traveling together, often find a condo a congenial
way to travel, and a good value because of the extra space. Select from:
one, two and three bedroom condos, including transfers or car rentals,
maid service, and Solsierra’s tips for enjoying the area.

Villas
- The rental of private homes and villas in Mexico is something everyone
who likes traveling (versus being a tourist) should do at least once
in their lifetime. But, cuidado , you may become addicted! Whether you
rent one of our deluxe, casually elegant villas or prefer a smaller
home, on the beach or inland, the experience of privacy amongst tropical
palms, views of the sea, or a quaint colonial village is habit-forming.
The same advantages of condo vacations apply, but the privacy and space
is greater. Additionally, many of our homes and villas include full
staff with cook; most have pools or are steps from the ocean. Solsierra
includes transfers or car rentals, area tips and orientation upon arrival.
The average home or villa is from 2 to 4 bedrooms. Larger estates offer
up to 9 bedrooms.

Adventure Resorts
- Adventure means exploring off the beaten path, enjoying physical activity,
and learning something new. Some of our adventure resorts provide a
comfortable and picturesque base from which to explore Mexico’s many
nature reserves and Mayan hidden Mayan temples: the Sian Ka’an and Celestun
in the Yucatan Peninsula. Or, escape the crowds to Isla Holbox (Mexican
Caribbean) or Cruz de Loreto (Pacific Coast). Sea kayak and snorkel
on the Sea of Cortez. Mountain bike from colonial pueblo to pueblo based
in Mexico’s Spanish style town, San Miguel de Allende. Raft and kayak
tropical rivers in lush Veracruz. After each day with your naturalist
guide, return to your comfortable thatched cabana or colonial style
room for good meals and company. Our adventure resorts, each no larger
than 30 rooms, combined with our convenient transfers provide memorable
experiences exploring Mexico’s natural areas, historic towns, and lesser
known archaeological sites.

Health & Fitness Resorts
- All of us, once in a while, need to take a break and restore our physical
health -- and sometimes mental, emotional, and spiritual as well! Our
health and fitness resorts are small, relaxing places in which guests
can renew themselves. Activities include: spas, fitness centers, outdoor
sports such as kayaking, trail walks, snorkeling, tennis, and bicycling.
Many places offer yoga, holistic health therapies, massage, and native
medicinal treatments such as the temazcal (steam bath). Vegetarian meals,
as well as fresh fish and healthy entrees, are served in outdoor areas
with gentle warm breezes. Locations vary -- from beachfront to colonial
towns; from remote locations to short walks from a town with good shopping
and low-key night-life.

Historic Manors
- The Spanish settling Mexico in the mid 1500’s built European style
convents, colleges, mansions, and haciendas of all types -- cattle,
henequen, sugar, tequila, and silver mining. In the mid 1800’s, when
France occupied Mexico, manorial homes were built reflecting French
styles. In the early 1900’s, elegant tropical style hotels were built
in Yucatan jungle to accommodate archeologists, their entourages, and
the few who could afford the time and money to travel to exotic destinations.
The historic inns we offer are amazing restorations of these buildings.
What to do while you are reflecting on history in your salon or Jacuzzi?
Tour historic towns, visit museums, attend world-class performing and
visual arts events, take painting lessons, go horse-back riding, bicycling,
play tennis or golf, visit a thermal waters spa, learn Spanish, explore
little known archaeological sites, and dine well.
